Career and CV Preparation Consultancy Provided for Electrical Program Students
Within the scope of career planning and professional development activities organized for students of the Electrical Program at Balıkesir Vocational School, Balıkesir University, academic consultancy and career guidance services were provided to support students in their transition from education to professional life.
Particular attention was given to students who aspire to pursue career opportunities at BEST Inc., a company previously visited during a technical field trip where productive meetings were held with the Human Resources Department. During the consultancy sessions, students’ application processes and career goals were evaluated in detail.
Students received individualized guidance on preparing effective résumés, with emphasis on presenting their educational background, technical knowledge, laboratory and project experiences, internship activities, and personal competencies in a professional manner. In addition, comprehensive information was provided regarding job application procedures, interview preparation, and the fundamental qualifications and skills expected by employers in the electrical and energy sectors.
Highlighting the importance of supporting students beyond their academic education, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Çıtak stated that the Electrical Program continues to contribute to students’ career development and employability through various guidance and industry-oriented activities. He further emphasized that strong university–industry collaboration plays a vital role in enhancing students’ professional competencies and facilitating their successful integration into the workforce.
The Electrical Program will continue to organize activities that strengthen students’ career awareness and professional readiness while fostering closer cooperation with industry stakeholders.
