Balıkesir University MEYOK Electrical Program Board Meeting Was Held
An online meeting aimed at harmonizing the Electrical Programs was held on July 9, 2026, within the scope of the Joint Program Board of Balıkesir University Vocational Schools Coordination Office (MEYOK). During the meeting, the course plans, program outcomes, ECTS credits, and applied training processes of the Electrical Programs at Balıkesir, Edremit, Bigadiç, and Sındırgı Vocational Schools were evaluated comparatively.
As a result of the evaluations, it was determined that the programs were largely compatible in terms of their basic structures and professional competencies. It was emphasized that continuing standardization efforts regarding course titles, course contents, and assessment and evaluation processes would contribute to the quality of education.
In addition, decisions were made to improve program outcomes in line with MEDEK criteria, to use direct and indirect assessment methods together, and to effectively reflect stakeholder feedback in continuous improvement processes.
At the end of the meeting, an action plan was approved for the completion of common program outcomes, the review of course plans, and the establishment of a common assessment and evaluation approach. These efforts are expected to further strengthen the institutional alignment and educational quality of the Electrical Programs.
