Balıkesir University Balıkesir Vocational School, Department of Electrical and Energy, Electrical Program Advisory Board Meeting Held.

The “Program Advisory Board Meeting” was held online on March 10, 2026, by Balıkesir University Balıkesir Vocational School, Department of Electricity and Energy, Electrical Program, with the aim of strengthening the integration of external stakeholder contributions into educational processes and conducting evaluations related to the program’s accreditation process. In addition to the academic staff of the department, industry representatives, alumni, and a student representative participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, discussions focused on updating the curriculum in line with the ongoing transformation in the energy sector, particularly the increasing importance of renewable energy technologies. The inclusion of new courses aimed at enhancing students’ knowledge and skills in these areas, as well as planned improvements במסגרת the accreditation process, were also addressed.

Furthermore, evaluations were conducted regarding the transition to the 3+1 Education Model (three semesters of academic study followed by one semester of workplace training) in order to enable students to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application, establish stronger connections with the industry, and improve their employment prospects after graduation.
