Akran Evaluation Meeting was Held in Scope of Accreditation Preparations in Electrical and Energy Department

With the Department of Electrical and Energy, the Department of Hotel, Diner and Catering Services met in Balıkesir University Vocational School on 9 October 2026 in order to evaluate accreditation preparations and share experience among programs.

Associate Professor of Vocational School Manager and MEDEK Accreditation Commission. Dr. Fatmagül Tolun elemanları attended the meeting of high school management, department heads and lecturers of related programs. In the meeting, tourism and hotel management program shared experiences in the scope of accreditation preparation and discussed the preparation process of the Programmes of the Electrical and Energy Department.

In interviews conducted in accordance with MEDEK checklist, lecture files, program outputs, measurement and evaluation studies, student, graduates and stakeholders were evaluated. Applied courses of electrical and energy department programs were focused on preparation on workshop facilities, equipment qualification, maintenance and safety.

In the meeting, the priority studies and records on the accreditation process were discussed regularly. With inter-section collaboration and experience sharing, it was aimed to support the accreditation preparations and continuous improvement works in education.
